Outage Update – Friday, December 23
Outage update as of Dec. 23 at 8 p.m.: BARC is now down to less than 200 outages. For those of you still without power, crews will slowly begin to start pulling back so they can rest and will be back early morning to resolve any remaining outages. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, for the safety of our crews, we will begin pausing restoration efforts later this evening, unless there is an emergency such as a fire or downed line. If you need medical assistance, please dial 911.
If you are seeing lights blinking at your location, but are not experiencing an outage, please do not call to report an outage. This creates a ticket and takes time away from BARC line personnel working through these frigid conditions to restore power.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Outage update as of 1 p.m. Friday: we have less than 900 members out. We appreciate everyone’s patience as our line crews work safely to restore power.
As of 10:30 a.m. Friday, we have over 1,300 members out. A majority of the impact is in Rockbridge County. With ongoing wind gusts and impending cold temperatures, we anticipate the issues to persist all day.
