Governance and Transparency
BARC is governed by a seven-member board of directors, each of which represents a distinct area (“district”) of BARC’s service territory (view the map). The Board meets on the third Wednesday of every month to discuss matters of the Cooperative. They also hold special meetings as needed from time to time. Minutes of BARC board meetings are available to members on this website or upon request. To request a copy of the minutes, members may call customer service at (800) 846-2272 or email co-op@barcelectric.com.
Cooperative members may contact a director by emailing co-op@barcelectric.com or by calling customer service and requesting a director contact them. Every request to speak to a director will be respected and honored. We pride ourselves on our accessibility at all levels of the organization.
To determine the district in which you reside, please refer to the mailing label on Cooperative Living magazine. In the numbers above your name is a two-digit number starting with “D.” This is your district number. You may also call customer service and ask any of our customer service representatives.
