Bath County Upgrades – August 8, 2025

Upgrades are being made to Johnson Creek, helping to benefit Bath County transmission.

This project is an improvement to our 46 kV transmission system that will allow better control, visibility, and reliability of the primary protection device for the transmission load fed from the Dominion Callaghan substation.

Typically this includes members fed from the Johnson Creek, Falling Springs, Hot Springs, and Mountain Grove substations. However, this also has the capability of providing transmission power to Warm Springs, Millboro Springs, and Brattons Run substations during times of maintenance or system events.
