2026 Rate Adjustments
Effective January 1, 2026, a local rate adjustment went into effect. This adjustment, which is allowable by the State Corporation Commission (SCC) every three years, is intended to realign revenues with inflation and increased operating expenses. While the local distribution rate increased by 5%, members will also see a decrease in the Power Cost Adjustment (PCA) factor, which helps offset the change.
For the average residential member using 1,000 kilowatt hours in a month, this results in a $2.50 per month average increase.
