12-Apr-2018Have you Met Josh and Tanner?

There’s a lot of excitement here at BARC Connects as we begin activating customers with high-speed internet. As we work to narrow the “digital divide,” you’ll likely meet two of our team members. They are the experts that ensure your drop from the exterior makes the connection to the inside while providing you with the right information to make your new service a world-class experience.

You may have seen the BARC Connects fleet around Rockbridge County with our logo and mascot Butch. Josh Webb and Tanner Warlitner, fiber technicians for BARC Connects, are on the move in Kerr’s Creek and Rockbridge Baths connecting anxious customers to their new high-speed internet service. As soon as the front door opens, these guys are greeted by excited customers ready to leave the stone age.

On installation days, Josh and Tanner are eager to link the exterior line drop to the interior of the residence and bring the world to the customer. Recently, as Tanner was working an install, a customer described how it took the online version of the Roanoke Times 20 minutes to download with his current carrier. Josh assured him that was a thing of the past. And while they were talking, the customer requested information on the new television service that will soon be available. Josh was ready, explaining the channel lineup and cost – all the channels that the bigger carriers have, but more affordable through a local provider, and available in a variety of packages.

This particular install had a personal connection with these customers who knew both Josh and Tanner through their sons. But you will always have a personalized customer experience with our team. It was rewarding to see a local company with local people making a difference for a customer. A superior customer experience is our number one priority. All of our BARC Connects team members strive to ensure you receive that every day.

So, as you travel around the Rockbridge area or happen to be out in your yard, keep a look out for the BARC Connects truck – and be sure to wave to Josh and Tanner. They are looking forward to connecting you to our broadband services!
